"I Remember" is one of my most personal pieces - acrylic and pen on paper, built up in layers like memories that won't quite line up neatly. I started with color, then went back in with ink lines, letting them wander, cross, and sometimes disappear.

There are hints of a figure, maybe a face, maybe not. I wanted it to feel like those fragments of childhood or old relationships that come back in flashes - a smell, a song, a room - but never as a complete picture. The naive marks and scribbles are deliberate; they keep the story a little unfinished.
