"Divided" is an 8x10 acrylic on canvas that came out of one of those days when I felt split between who I used to be and who I'm becoming. I didn't sketch anything first - I just laid down bold blocks of color and let the lines argue with each other a bit.

Shapes bump up against each other, some sharp, some soft, like two stories trying to live in the same body. The style is simple and naive, but the feeling underneath is grown‑up: that tug between holding on and letting go.
